ABOUT HOOTERS

Hooters brand has grown into an international sensation, with more than 420 Hooters in 29 countries.

Goals

Restaurant chain looking for fun, creative branding for their local restaurants, along with driving traffic to their stores.

Execution

Created a fun promotion with a local University that was just starting their Football Program. The promotion brought the rest large owl mascot out on the field and allowed a few lucky fans each game to throw footballs at the mascot trying to knock him down.
For traffic driving, they used their sponsorship with the University to create a Thursday Night Football event at several of their stores throughout the season. The events bring the team mascot and cheerleaders to their stores and they raffle off tickets and prizes for fans who attended the event.

Results

They have been doing this promotion at the University for over 20 years now and it has become one of the only Football traditions the University has to date.  They are the most recognizable sponsor of the University because of this promotion.

Stores are packed for their Thursday Night Football parties with fans.
